Attention pastors, staff, and church members! First Baptist Church Rockville announces that its next 13-week DivorceCare class will begin on Wednesday, August 30th. DivorceCare is a 13-week divorce recovery support group where you can find help and healing for the hurt of separation and divorce. The mission of our DivorceCare ministry is to provide support in a Christian setting for adults in our church and community who are separated or divorced. Trained group facilitators who have experienced divorce lead the ministry. Separated couples cannot attend together. Each session has two distinct elements: a video seminar with experts and a support group. The classes are Biblically based. The curriculum includes topics such as anger, loneliness, depression, children, new relationships, reconciliation, finances and forgiveness. There are daily devotions and a group Bible study as part of each week’s lesson. Reconciliation of marriage is presented as God’s ideal if possible. The only cost is $20 for the class workbook, payable after someone decides to commit to the class.

• Wednesday from 7:00 – 9:00 pm in Room 210/212. Our next class is Aug. 30 – Dec. 6 (No meeting on Oct. 18). On Nov. 1 the class will be a “Surviving the Holidays” seminar.
